Born on May 31, 1993, Kirsten Corley is an American model, entrepreneur and social media influencer, best known as the wife of the renowned rapper Chance. Married since 2019, the former couple share two children, Kensli and Marli Grace. 

The 30-year-old gained popularity for her vibrant Instagram posts and public appearances alongside her husband. However, the former couple’s recent announcement of their divorce has brought them into limelight again.

In April 2024, the couple announced that they had decided to call it quits “after a period of separation” in a joint statement shared on their Instagram stories. “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together,” they wrote. “God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you.”

Kirsten and Chance met each other at 9 years old

On the weekend of their wedding the rapper shared the story of how they met on his X (Formerly Twitter) account. The rapper whose real name is Chancellor Jonathan Bennett, posted a series of screenshots that detailed his first encounter with Corley at his mom’s 2003 office party when he was 9 years old. Chance revealed that he first laid eyes on Corley when she and her friends stepped out to do a dance routine to the Destiny’s Child song “Independent Women Part 1.”

“Now I’m locking eyes with the prettiest girl I ever seen in my almost-a-decade of life on Earth. I really shouldn’t even say locked eyes cause really, I was just staring at her,” he recalled.

Luckily, the duo met again in 2012 at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas and reconnected back home in Chicago.

Kirsten and Chance got engaged on the Fourth of July in 2018

Chance proposed to Corley on the Fourth of July in 2018 at a family party in Chicago. He confirmed their engagement the next day with a post captioned, “She said yes.”

Kirsten married Chance in 2019

The duo tied the knot in 2019 at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach in California. Their daughter, Kensli, served as the flower girl and celebrity guests included Kim KardashianKanye West and Dave Chappelle. Chance posted a series of photos from their special day on Instagram and captioned the post, “The Bennetts,” which is the rapper’s legal last name.

In September 2015, the duo welcomed their first child, Kensli. They welcomed another daughter, Marli in 2019. He reflected on parenthood and marriage during an interview with PEOPLE “I’ve been waking up daily with a newfound gratitude and being very grateful that I’m married right now,” said the rapper.

Kirsten is the founder of World of BOBY

Corley is the founder and CEO of a children’s clothing brand, World of BOBY. She announced the brand’s launch on Instagram on July 8, 2021 with a series of photos of kids wearing the designs. BOBY was also featured on WGN News in May 2022, where Corley discussed how the brand promotes representation, inclusivity and mental health awareness.

Kirsten is a former model

Between 2014 and 2016, Corley modeled for various brands, including Alexander WangShelby Steiner and the now-defunct MIJ Boutique.

Corley is also a former basketball player and she even took first place in the Nike ‘Gotta Shine’ tournament and the All Summa x Jordan league in 2017.

Kirsten holds a degree in Psychology

As per her LinkedIn profile, Corley attended DePaul University in Chicago from 2011 to 2013, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Additionally she is a fashion merchandising dropout from the Art Institute of Chicago.
